Work stuff

Since October of 1997, I have been employed by Netaxs, a Network Service Provider based in Philadelphia, doing a mixture of system administration and network engineering tasks. During the summer of 1999, the company was merged with Earthstation to become Earthstation Netaxs. About a year later, we shed the "Earthstation" bit, and we began referring to ourselves as simply Netaxs once again.

In addition to working at Netaxs, I also do a fair amount of consulting work on the side. If you're looking for someone with a very strong Unix and IP background to help maintain an existing server, build a new one, or just to write a custom script or two, have a peek at my resume and drop me a line. More than likely we'll be able to work something out.

         Home Stuff

After growing up in Lafayette Hill, a suburb of Philadelphia, I moved an hour away to North Coventry in July of 1998 with my significant other, Danita, while still commuting for work to Center City Philadelphia. Ironically, a year later the company moved just minutes away from where I grew up, and another year later Danita and I moved to a townhouse in Blue Bell, also just minutes away. We currently reside there with our two cats, Pixel and Relic.

         Contact Information

By far the easiest way to reach me is by sending mail to mct@toren.net. I do my best to respond to every message which requires attention, however, due to the large volume of mail I receive, there are occasions when messages are left at the bottom of my inbox and inadvertently forgotten. If you have sent me mail and have been waiting for a response for more than a day or two, please don't take it personally, and feel free to re-send your message with the Subject: line in capital letters. I'll do my best to get back to you as quickly as possible.

For those of you wishing to send encrypted messages, you can find a copy of my GnuPG public key here, or on one of the PGP keyservers.

I don't make a practice of giving out my home telephone numbers to strangers, but if you happen to know them, you're more than welcome to try.
